Woodside Warriors

This is the homepage for the Woodside Warriors Cricket Club based in Bingley, West Yorkshire, England. We have been playing 20 overs cricket now for over 30 years. The game we play is very similar to 20twenty cricket , the main difference being that in our version, all outfield players (other than the wicket keeper), have to bowl 2 overs each. Also, we don't play the LBW rule since our batsmen are crap and our umpires are usually senile.

PIFF, PAFF, POOF !
MENSTON GET A RIGHT KICKING.
Warriors 111 for 2 (20 overs)
Menston 73 all out

Despite some posing prima-donna batsmen on their side, and some self-professed non-cricketers on ours, the mighty warriors continued to flourish under the non-leadership of Mr Kunz.

Star of the match was 'Consistency' Norris who, after bowling 3 wides, bowled 2 people out after someone foolishly offered him a pint for a wicket. Before the match he remarked at the desperation of the team on having himself called up to the squad, 'whats the opposite of ringer?' someone else enquired.

The other non-ringer, Adrian also confounded himself by being not that bad actually.

Numerous fine batty preformances from Nurdler Dziedzic, G.Baines and S. Stead who, comically, managed to run himself out again, but only after having scored 25 runs notably quickler than 'one dot one' Dziedzic.
