Woodside Warriors

This is the homepage for the Woodside Warriors Cricket Club based in Bingley, West Yorkshire, England. We have been playing 20 overs cricket now for over 30 years. The game we play is very similar to 20twenty cricket , the main difference being that in our version, all outfield players (other than the wicket keeper), have to bowl 2 overs each. Also, we don't play the LBW rule since our batsmen are crap and our umpires are usually senile.

Nick and Tom practice months too late

Nick and 4.3 were caught practising on a dancefloor and Ste Steads wedding last saturday.

"You'd have thought they would have practiced before the season", said JK, "they obviously needed it".

"After 5 months of shoddy wicket-keeping and shambolic fielding, I would have expected them to have got the message earlier", said Gangas.
"Mind you, I know I got the best batting averages but Nick won the big one", he went on.

Gangas was referring to the G Stead Cranial Cup which had been awarded to Nick earlier that night. He had won the much sought-after award for "Services to crap excuse - making", having cobbled together some cock and bull bobbins about wedding rings and magic fairy dust as an excuse for putting down dolly drops all season.
